Shrine board providing free medical facilities to Vaishno devi pilgrims

Shrine Board providing monetary assistance for medically ill & physically hurted pilgrims on Vaishno Devi Yatra Route. For first four months board has distributed INR 5,87,000 among 103 pilgrims for medical.

The board official told that between January to April 2016, 103 pilgrims were fall medically ill or physically hurted. The board has spend INR 2,67,997 on treatment of pilgrims and give INR 3,19,255 to relatives of unhealthy pilgrims for transfer to home.

The board has also established medical emergency unit on yatra trek route at Banganga, Ardhkunwari, Himkoti, Bhairon and Bhawan. Sanjichhat also has a hospital for medical treatment of pilgrims. Each medical unit has 40 bed with advance medical facilities. There are strechers in between trek route with 7 ambulances at Katra, Ardhkunwari and Bhawan.

Now a multi speciality hospital comes up in Kakryal and all patients are treated here on board expense. If any pilgrims died in accident, the board is giving INR 3 Lakh assistance amount.
